Michael Pitt did an incredible job bringing Mason Verger. Even having seen the movie and read the book Hannibal by Thomas Harris, in which Mason was the main antagonist, I still was unable to really believe him as a character. A guy who drank tears in his martini? It seemed too far fetched. Michael Pitt’s performance truly convinced me that such a disturbing person could exist.
